AROHA BRIDGE

Aroha Bridge is a New Zealand animated comedy series created, written and directed by Jessica Hansell. The show follows biracial twins Kowhai and Monty Hook as they navigate their multicultural community and pursue musical stardom. Celebrated for its authentic portrayal of urban Maori characters, the series blends humour and cultural insights.

In 2017, Aroha Bridge won Best Webseries at the Los Angeles Film Awards. Additionally, in 2020, it was nominated for Best TV Comedy at the New Zealand Television Awards.

Enjoying a cult following, and based on a comic strip, Hansell directs with Simon Ward, illustrations from Don Brooker, animated at Showbag Entertainment, produced by Morgan Waru and Carthew Neal, and Executive Produced by Paul Horan

Featuring an all star cast of Jessica Hansell, Rizván Tu’itahi, Madeleine Sami, Frankie Stevens, Scotty Cotter, Matai Smith, Rachel House, Oscar Kightley, Julian Dennison, Pax Assadi, Kura Forrester and Ra Pomare.
