Madeleine Sami returns for a second season of Super City with four new outrageous characters on Friday 26th July 10pm on TV3.
Ofa is a welfare case-manager demanding everyone follow in her footsteps out of poverty. Levi is a new half-back in his South
Auckland rugby team and desperate to be one of the ‘boys’. Ray is a mechanic juggling his small business with his wife’s bodybuilding training. Mary is an ambitious rocker desperate to escape from Howick but denigrated to singing pub gigs.
Directed by comedy heavyweight Oscar Kightley, who also wrote the season with Sami and Thomas Sainsbury. These acutely observed characters are drawn from contemporary Auckland. Sami’s AFTA award-winning performance will be just as biting and
outlandishly funny in the eight half hour episodes in season two.
